I'm using the latest Kodi build from http://mirrors.kodi.tv/nightlies/android/arm64-v8a/. I'm not very sure whether this is the issue of Kodi or Fire TV.
When opening Kodi, some time everything works fine, some times there is no any sound, even the navigation sound. In the situation there is no sound, when I connect the bluetooth earphone, sound just come back. But when I disconnect the earphone, the sound lose again, and I can see the play speed of music is very fast. After I connected the earphone again, the sound just come back again.
Some times Kodi just crash when I'm playing music, and after it crash, when I open any other apps in the system, they also play video/music very fast, thus no sound. So It seems it's the issue of Fire TV. I suspect it is related with video/audio hardware decoding. But other apps in the system has no issue usually when opening them, Kodi usually no sound at all when opening.
