Hey im running the latest nightly kodi-20161030-a08a5e3-master-armeabi-v7a.apk on android tv and have been having this issue for awhile now over a week before everything was fine. as soon as i try to resume a video i get a black screen with just audio then i stop it then it either gives me another blank screen no video just audio or fails to load completely, during this debug attempt i just resumed a file it black screened i stopped it tried resume again and it wouldnt load at all the seek on the gui just going up from 0secs to 1secs back to 0secs and so forth. i need to reboot the tv for it to play video again and i cant resume or it happens again.

Known. Combined folks of Android development are looking for that issue. Retry tonight's nightly - a lot of droid stuff was merged yesterdays.

thx fritsch, but im already running it kodi-20161030-a08a5e3-master-armeabi-v7a.apk, so providing a debug log as requested by Martjin if i still had issues after the latest PR including those fixes from koying was added.

Looking at the log, those are the decoder changes done yesterday. I informed the coders.

Which nightly is the last one working for you? So that we can track down the "for a while" now.

the problem popped up around kodi-20161022-cf08208-master-armeabi-v7a.apk but might of been abit earlier as i dont often resume so cant give you a exact time. anything 2 weeks ago or older is fine im sure though. ive never had this issue before, might it be related to https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/10757/...339fdbcf4e the timeline would fit and its around the time i started having issues.

rebooted tv first still same problem with that test build.

sorry here it is, rebooted tv, played video worked ok, seeked abit worked ok, stopped video then tried resume black screen, stopped video tried resume wouldnt load at all.

Problem Solved. working once again tried really hard to trigger it but worked fine each time on multiple diff files. thanks so much.

Looks like this fix caused a new bug at the end of a video file it freezes and doesnt goto the next item automatically, which worked before. it appears if you wait 30 seconds or so it eventually plays the next item but its no longer instant (a few seconds tops) like before. during the freeze you cannot press stop or back or bring up the gui its completely unresponsive. after the wait it then does the action. i should also note if you just play a item and skip straight to the next without it getting to the end it instantly plays the next item no freeze aswell if you seek to the end of the file.

any ETA on merge to nightlys with this kodi-20161101-0c99d9f-fixamcdrain-armeabi-v7a.apk build everything has run really well for days, or are you looking at another way to fix this?
