I'm trying to write a script add-on, and when I try 'install from zip file', I get an error: 'Failed to install add-on from zip file. Installing the add-on from the zip file located at ...'. And the rest is missing from the screen. Where can I get a more detailed error of why my add-on won't install? I checked the log file, but it doesn't show up there.

It should all be in the debug log (wiki) you already looked in, especially if you have debug logging enabled.

Thanks, I didn't see the development subforum.

Enabling debug logging is an improvement, but still doesn't give much feedback: '19:03:07 T:864 DEBUG: CAddonInstaller: installing from zip '...'' is all I get. (The issue was a typo in the xml metadata).
