Opera TV is a HTML5-based platform for connected TVs

Kodi is a native C++ app and can't run in a pure HTML5 based platform as it's not a website. What one could do is to submitt a webinterface that connects with Kodi to browse your local content, but it will only be a webinterface and playback support for media types will depend on the capabilities of the HTML browser/OS of the TV.

I'd say it's better than nothing. It's either that or I have to get a Pi for each tv to install Kodi on.
