I tested this in two different Kodi installs. Both are running on Linux / Intel PCs. They are not raspberries. Both show the same problem.
Here's one of them (desktop PC)

Trying to play "La Mala Verdad (2010)".
In the Desktop PC - Firefox v59, on Fedora 27. Playback works just fine. I'm in Canada so I guess geo-blocking does not apply to this item - it plays fine.
In the same PC, running Kodi, trying to play the same content: it doesn't play, Kodi stays spinning the wheel for some 20 seconds and then it errors out saying "Odeon - Cannot reproduce, try later"
Here's a kodi log snippet:
https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/DJrhjvwcQv/
This error stands out alone:
Quote: ERROR: CCurlFile::Stat - Failed: Timeout was reached(28) for https://5393958088117.streamlock.net/ode...u8?t=eyJhb...............
I can see that the addon retries a few times and finally gives up.
Both Kodi installs play streaming (youtube, hdhomerun in-house streaming, and anything else I throw at it) with no issues.
If the log doesn't tell what the problem is, if you are the addon developer and your workstation is on Windows, if at all possible could you try your addon inside a linux virtualmachine (e.g. virtualbox, with any recent linux distro e.g. ubuntu 17.10), I'm guessing you will be able to reproduce the issue
