Kodi stops playing video every 5 mins
#1
Unjailbroken ipad mini 2

ios 10.1.1
Kodi v16 & v17b5

It stops playing video every 5 mins automatically, then u have to press play again then it will continue playing.

But when it comes to play live TV, everything is OK, no 5-min-autostops.

This never happens before.

What could be the bug here? Can

You don't play anything in those logs...

I tried to play video three times, but when it comes to 5 mins, now kodi just crashed and quit. It is supposed to have a crash log, I think. But every time when i try to upload the log, it says no crash log found now.

Finally, upload another log. Please check.

This is a log when I tried to play 2.Broke.Girls.S06E08.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv.

Here is the log: https://paste.ubuntu.com/23516618/

I continued to play 2.Broke.Girls.S06E08.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION.mkv at 20:22, then it stopped @20:26, only played for about 4m40s.

I need you to do a new log. Please disable all component specific logging in the debug menu and also disable the enigma addon for your test. The size of the logfile exceeds the time i am willing to spend for reading it.

Hi, here is a new log, disabling the specific logging and engima addon:

https://paste.ubuntu.com/23519459/

I played twice the video: first time starting @6:46 and stopping @6:52, second time starting @7:01 and stopping&quitting @7:06.

Thank you for the help!

Playback stops because the video can't be read anymore. Alot of read errors and then playback stops. Is your samba server / nas setup to suspend disks or something like that after 5 minutes? The cause is somewhere in the direction of wifi or server...

Turned off the auto-suspend disk, but still stop playing every 5 mins as usual.

BTW, if it is a problem of my samba server, there should be the same problem reproduced on other devices when playing the videos from it. But I tried to use the kodi for mac, everything goes well, no 5-min stops.

Nearly Same Setup (iPad mini 1, iOS 9.3.5, Kodi 17b6) and same problem here. No problems on other machines. Just the iOS version stops every 5 minutes. Isnt wifi kept alive?
