Netflix on Kodi
#1
I don´t know if it´s possible. But if have addons to play youtube videos, I believe it can be done with Netflix.
The addon Flix2Kodi is outdated, and don´t play the videos in kodi.

By the way, whats is necessary to a waorkin addon for netflix in Kodi?

playon.tv license and a windows machine on the network. you won't be able to get better than 720p though through kodi.

Oh, yes, the play on is an alternative, but the expiring tokens of UPNP sources made the experience on kodi very complex. I Try PlayOn Browser, but the tokens still expiring. I really don´t bother if the output was 720P, I just want an way to have Netflix on my home screen.

If it could be done, it would be being done I'm afraid.

The "best of both worlds" solution for me is to use an officially recognised Android device such as the Nvidia Shield or Amazon Fire TV to have the commercial services and Kodi on one box, or use a "Smart TV" for those services and a dedicated Kodi device for Kodi.

Yeah yes.. is that way I use... but, like kodi is an infinity possibilities program, it wold be nice if we do not have to use third options, understand?

Ok, it´s a lot of work, I know. If the token of UPNP do not expire, will be very very simple. But Ican´t manage to mede work with PlayOn Browser addon.

There is actually an addon for netflix that uses inputstream (theoretically possible to run on RPi, but not yet functional). it is currently being betatested by guys on kodinerds.net. You can find the code at https://github.com/asciidisco/plugin.video.netflix Unfortunately it supports only kodi agile builds (development of Kodi 18), because it needs features that are available only in kodi agile. If you want to help test the new addon and you understand a bit of german, go to: https://www.kodinerds.net/index.php/Thre...r-Netflix/

I am not the developer of this addon, I have just stumbled upon it.

If you want to see it working, look at this video taken on libreelec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUuDE7svBa8
