Usually you get this "buzzing noise" if passthrough is enabled in audio settings but your TV/receiver/... can't support it.

Navigate to Settings -> System -> Audio and untick the "Allow passthrough" option there.

@Hias you got me on the right track! Right after I saw your post, I took a look at the support homepage of my AV receiver, saw a firmware update, applied it... and my problems are solved! I played a bit with the option you mentioned, but everything is working, regardless if i enable or disable it.

So happy right now! Thanks a lot!

MVC Files do not play in 3D:

I was updating vom #0912 to #1024 to get the HEVC changes. Unfortunately I detected that my MVC 3D files were not playing in 3D anymore. The name of the files are xxx.3D-MVC.mkv.
After checking serveral images it seem that the MVC function was lost from #1001 to #1002. The SBS file still play in 3D.

Thanks. That's crashing in the video settings - most likely due to PR:12944 added in #1025). I'm seeing it too on Generic, when Kodi will crash after stopping playback of any video from the library. The developer is aware and will investigate.

XBOX tuner support is unchanged since the last time this came up for discussion.

if kodi hangs, what are the ssh commands to stop/start/restart kodi without completely rebooting the pi ?

Think I found them, if there is anything better than this, please let me know:
