Hi,

not sure where  to post but since #416 there is a huge problem with harmony remotes and mceusb recievers. After a few Days of running all later builds my harmony makes 5X clicks on a single Button Press. I tried alot to narrow down the problem (disable cec,..).
Any help would be apreciated. If this is the wrong Forum pls move.

How did you determine this problem started with #0416? This sounds like a very unusual failure mode.

Which mceusb receiver are you using? Please post dmesg and lsusb output.

When this happens does rebooting solve it? Does it work again after a power cycle?

If you catch such a situation please stop kodi and eventlircd
Code:
systemctl stop kodi
systemctl stop eventlircd
Then run the following commands, at the same time (from 2 ssh session), press a button and post the outputs.

in the first shell:
Code:
ir-ctl -r
and in the second one:
Code:
ir-keytable -t

Also post dmesg and journalctl outputs after the remote acted up
Code:
dmesg | paste
journalctl -a | paste

so long,

Hias
After deleting music files from the hard disk, when updating the library, information about these albums is not deleted from the library. And how to remove this information is unclear. (RP3b+).

Hi guys,

There is an issue with omx player and live tv.
I use tvheadend as a backend. I have 4 RPi 3's all running milhouse nightlies, all up to date using 0622 build. All pi's produce the same issue.

When watching a HD channel and then switching to an SD channel or vice versa, the video stream is no longer recognised as a pvr stream, and you can no longer bring up the pvrosdinfo dialog, or the dialogpvrchannelguide.

And changing channels using up/down acts as a 'large skip' as if you were watching a normal video.

As I said, this is happening with OMX player only.

Sorry, I cannot produce logs as unfortunately I'll be away from my RPi's for a number of weeks. However, I expect this to be rather easy to reproduce for anyone running the same setup.

Ive been having major audio sync issues with pvr streams on both android shield and Pi for a a couple of weeks now and nothing I do seems to be able to fix this, so I decided to try OMX on the pi and not only is the audio staying in sync, but the video is more smooth... Pitty I don't have this luxury for Android shield.

anyways... as a result I noticed this issue which breaks the pvr viewing experience using omx.

Just thought I'd post this here before I forgot all about it. Hopefully someone can reproduce.

I'll check back in a couple of weeks when I'm able to use my pi's again.

Thanks.
I do notice that the CPU load is up again since #0620. With #0623 it is gone again.
The Audio Sync problem is only on AC3 stream in live tv after swichting to mp2 and back to ac3 it is fine again. I use a hifi berry sound card.

Does this occur in recordings that contain the ac3/mp2 audio switch?

it happened yes but not always.
Not the case for me. All I have to do is watch a channel for 5 minutes and all of a sudden the audio is way out of sync.

And if there's a dropped frame due to a little interference, kodi will lose sync. This happened in the early days of alpha 17 builds of krypton but was fixed... Now it's back with a vengeance in leia 18 alpha builds.

It doesn't go 'as much' out of sync if using mmal advanced deinterlace, but it still happens.

I have always had the 'threshold for pitch correction' set to 0
And the latency at default 50

Now I have to set the threshold to 2 and latency to 100 and it still goes out of sync.

But that makes a horrible viewing experience because the background audio is constantly pitch correcting and sounds like a broken tape deck.

I have my resolution set at 1080p 50hz As live tv here in Australia is 25hz... That way I don't have to constantly change refresh rates when watching live tv.

It's almost like kodi isn't working in 50hz properly... Because it's happening on my nvidia shield also.

I have a funny feeling that this started happing around the time the whole 'white list' thing was introduced, but I can't test that theory as I don't have access to my pi's at the moment.

Watching a recording does not make my audio lose sync... It's just when watching a live stream.

If you can provide a sample file that exhibits the problem it will help a lot with tracking down the issue.
