What do you mean by start up? My tvheadend server and client are on a wetek play 2 with libreelec installed into nand and I can boot it up and instantly start a channel (so slim to none startup time of tvheadend)

Of course, the RPI is very demanding with 1473 services and 305 active channels.
Checking the channels on startup is disabled, of course, for the 30 DVBC Chanels are the EIT Grabber ist aktive.
I think it might have something to do with the image cache and the picons directory with 5639 pictures?
