At this point, there are very few differences - there is only one days worth of commit differences between the branched v17 (Krypton branch) and v18 (current master). However the differences will become more apparent over time as more changes are merged to master (ie. Kodi 18). Kodi 18 is basically just starting it's development cycle, now that Kodi 17 has been branched for release.

I just got myself a Kabylake Gigabyte Brix i5 model. I created the boot USB via the creator tool and this image LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-7.0.2. However it won't boot is it states the GPU is not supported. Can I create a bootable image using one of these builds via the terminal on my mac?

@atoulmin: Sure. Download the tar, extract the SYSTEM and KERNEL files from the tar and copy over to the root of your USB stick. Boot from the USB stick and you should have working video.

I've had to temporarily return to the Kodi master version of Estuary in order to include an unmerged pull request that modifies the Kodi master Estuary skin (the PR doesn't apply against the skin when using the upstream Estuary repo). Once this PR is merged in Kodi, the Estuary skin changes will be synced to the upstream Estuary repo, at which point these builds will resume building of the upstream Estuary repo. How frequently this kind of thing happens will determine if continued building of the upstream repo is going to continue or not.
