v18 LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0)
(2018-01-30, 20:58)Milhouse Wrote: @Ontige what is your Samba server - is it Windows 7, Windows 10, or a Linux based NAS? You're getting the same connection aborts due to 2MB chunk size that I experience with Windows 7 but not with non-Windows Samba servers (and fixed in #0129d and #0129x by using a 64KB chunk).

@Ontige please confirm.

I have re-installed a windows builds to test and passthrough is OK, issue only with LibreELEC.

Nope. I'd have told you if I did.

As your NUC7i7BNH is a Kaby Lake, have you searched for answers in the Kaby Lake thread?

Also, it's not unusual to see people having problems with Denon amps - they seem to be quite picky. Maybe a custom edid will help you - see if anyone can help you in the linked thread.

I`m using a Synology DS410 with the latest firmware and Samba v3 enabled. If I can help help, please give me an advise Smile

Thanks - just wanted to know if this connection abort issue was limited to Windows as the server, but apparently not.

Since 0127 i have problem playing PAL videos (25 fps), which are usually play at 50hz. Now, system detect 25hz, so, playing at 25hz is not smooth.... 0126 works just fine. Anyone with same problem?
Yes, since #0127 there are refresh rate/rendering issues affecting most platforms (arm, android etc.).

Thank you.
Hi Milhouse,

is it possible that you can update tvheadend addon to v4.3-607 at least.
There are fixes included that help for better iptv.

Keep up your great work!

Is there for generic a way to change "pixel encoding" to select rgb or ycbcr like there is on the rpi builds via the config.txt?
What's the default used in generic?
Video and OSD is very dark.
Using a NVidia card.

Thanks!

I noticed the same thing. Video and OSD got darker again starting with the 1/21 build.

Changes:
Code:
Replace out-of-tree RTL8192CU driver with in-tree kernel driver
Added Gemini Lake WLAN firmware
Drop 20180108 intel-ucode
Restore Intel SST support
gcc-7.3.0 with full retpoline/Spectre v2 mitigation
Packages disabled/not included:
Code:
bcm_sta
DVB Driver Addons
Packages added/updated:
Code:
RTL8192DU
RTL8192EU
RTL8188EU
RTL8812AU
RTL8192CU (in-kernel)

Also, 64KB SMB chunk size
Spotted the Intel SST restoration on this build and gave it a shot on my Cherry Trail box.

There does seem to be some progress although when passthrough is enabled, only static is heard and when using just 2 channel, whilst there is sound, there are long delays in videos commencing playback and many long pauses throughout.

But the fact that there is some progress is good and I shall keep trying the .15 builds to follow the progress.

Probably, no. At least not soon, as 4.3 is still the development branch.

The thing is, this isn't the tvheadend bleeding edge test thread so if you want that you'll need to find another source of tvheadend - it should be possible for someone in the community to produce bleeding edge tvheadend 4.3 add-on builds if the demand is there. This thread is meant to test Kodi 18 and LE9 (as a whole) and while the latest tvheadend 4.3 may bring some fixes and improvements the tvheadend 4.3 branch also tends to bring some headaches which impact Kodi and LE9, so for now I prefer to stick to the tvheadend 4.2 release branch.
