Guys,

As of my testbuild from 03 september and later (last used before that was 03th of august) it seems the picture quality has improved, but i keep seeing the kodi menu behind the picture on the bottom part of the screen. Especially when using PVR and showing the cannellist, after selecting the channel i can see a line of about 10 pixels high with channel menu, on the black borders of the image. If i stop receiving the channel and start it again (play button) the bottom part is completely black as expected.

Regards,

Frans

Hi Mr Milhouse,

I have install successful LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.90.004.img in my NUC through laptop network Update folder ( copy & paste into this folder) and reboot LE test build is all Okay.
Download your LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.0-Milhouse-20180914003848-#0913-g56eae68 but I am not sure, do I have to unzip tar. and then put into Update folder only? Or drop tar. compress into Update folder and reboot LE? Or Do I have include LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.90.004.img in same folder?
Please let me know

See https://libreelec.wiki/how_to/update_libreelec
I have an issue when switching from stable Kodi 17.6 (LibreELEC v8.2.5) to Milhouse #0913. Kodi is not showing the UI because there is something wrong the resolution/refreshrate.

Here is what xrandr shows under Milhouse:
cpp:
Using username "root".

So the difference is here...

Not working:
cpp:
3840x2160 30.00 25.00 24.00 29.97 23.98

Working:
cpp:
3840x2160 60.00*+ 30.00 25.00 24.00 29.97 23.98

Any idea how I could get xrandr to add the missing refresh rate of 60Hz?

My AV receiver is a Yamaha RX-V 583 and my TV is a Samsung 50MU6179.

Don't go deleting and posting multiple posts on your own on this forum. The moderators have handy tools for moving posts/threads to whatever forum section necessary. Smile

Also, have you already white-listed all necessary resolution combinations in Kodi's system display section? It's something new in Kodi 18 Leia.
Sorry, I had posted in the wrong forum here: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2767639
and could not delete or move it, so I modified it to not have the same content as my post above ^^

I can't get into Kodi's graphical interface at all to edit the whitelist, the screen (TV) is just black after the LibreELEC logo, when I boot up the machine.
I need to find out then whether I can edit the whitelist from the ssh console, thanks.
Will this be implemented in LE9? Or is that still to be deiced? Currently I put a kodi-service file in the system.d folder with the meas override option.
My XBMC / Kodi history.
XBMC for XBOX -> XBMC for Windows -> XBMC for Android -> Kodi for Android - > Kodi v16 OE (Amlogic) -> Kodi v17 LE (NUC 2x) -> Kodi v18.5 LE (NUC 2x)
(2018-09-10, 21:00)Milhouse Wrote: @mglae the NFS crash is on Generic - on RPi, I get a different crash! I guess a trac ticket might be worth creating, but there are multiple reasons for a crash - when one is avoided (for example by disabling debug logging, or perhaps not using NFS) it only reveals another. It is odd that the Python changes were implicated in my testing, not really sure how to explain that.

The Ticket is created. I've kept it simple and just listed my results because the error can be reproduced by just installing kodi, enable debug logging and exit.

The fault is in Ubuntu nightlies too, you only have to enable memory allocation checking for glibc 2.27 by defining MALLOC_CHECK_=3.
