All,

I just switched from Comcast to WoW and they had a few channels that were not viewable in Kodi. I started to google fixes for my WoW problems and found a new and pretty much unpublished firmware from Ceton.

The changes are:
-Remove legacy (CGMS-A, APS, RC) Copy Protection Support
-Improve ability to lock OOB signal in a poor signal environment

The removal of legacy copy protection support will resolve issues that people had recording Copy Freely (CCI 0x00) channels after CableCARD firmware updates.

With the newish update I am now able to view all channels in Kodi INCLUDING HBO!

I HBO included with my TV package.

I figured, but I was more thinking that your cable provider has temporarily removed DRM protection and that is why you are getting HBO.

That would make sense, but before I updated the firmware my HBO channels didnt work (normal scrambled picture and garbled sound). I'll make sure to post again in a month with an update.

As of yesterday 1/4/17, premium channels are still working within kodi. I switched from HBO to Showtime with my provider and everything still works.

I forgot about this. That is f***ing amazing (still). Save that firmware update!

Also couldn't believe it. I have a copy of the file saved in a couple different places if that original host goes down.
