For some reason I cannot get the TV shows that were recorded by the PVR to show up in the Kodi "TV Shows". I added the recordings folder and told Kodi the type of files were "TV Shows" but it does not scan them and they are not visible in the TV Shows menu.

They won't be visible in the 'TV Shows' area (at least not without renaming the files). if you are using the wmc addon it will be in the 'Recorded TV 'section.

10-4, I suspected that might be the issue. I have no issue finding them in the recorded TV shows other that it taking so many clicks to get to them. I may have to change skins as you mentioned in another post so I can have the recordings be the default when clicking on TV. It burns me that it goes to the channel listing which I "never" use. I use the guide and the recording folder exclusively.

I see. If you are adding the recorded tv folder as a regular media folder to kodi the files need to be renamed so that they scrape properly. There are free tools out there that can do that (last I checked).
