Android How to install Kodi and which version
#1
I just bought an Easytone Android tv box with remote and mini keyboard. it was supposed to be fully loaded whatever that means. It wasn't working so I did a backup and reset. Now when I try to go to Kodi.tv to download kodi 16.1 Jarvis it says there are issues with the certificate. When I viewed it it said the date was incorrect. How do I install Kodi on this box so I can watch movies. Also I can't seem to set the time and date. I do it but the next time I turn it on it's all screwed up again. I really need some guidance. A 69 year old Grandma. Any help greatly appreciated or direct me to the information. Thanks

Welcome,

It may or may not be able to install the official Kodi on your box, a lot of those cheap Android boxes use their own custom version to overcome limitations of their cheap hardware and to "load" them fully of illegal piracy add-ons.

That being said, please be aware that Kodi does not provide content and we do not provide support for installations and user wanting to use their Kodi installations for piracy.

Here are a few links that explain our stance:

I will move this thread to the android forum and perhaps somebody may know how to get you to a clean legal version of Kodi if that is what you wish. In the meantime here is generic information on how to install Kodi on Android:
