List of Movies empty after defining a Master Password
#1
Hello,

I have a Raspberry PI 3 and after having defined a Master Password in OSMC, the list of movies (and series) is empty. When activating the master-mode, or deleting the master password again, the list gets correctly shown.

Steps to reproduce:
1.Install latest OSMC image on a Raspberry Pi 3
2.define a second profile, e.g. "family"
3.remain in the "family" profile and import some movies in the DB from an external HDD
4.the movies are correctly shown in OSMC under the movie menu

5.activate the master password
-> the movie list is now empty!

6.goto the Power menu and activate the master-mode, type in the master password
-> the movie list is correctly shown, i.e. not empty

7.deactivate the master-mode again
-> movie list again empty

8.delete the master password
-> movie list is ok

What can this be?

I posted this issue in the OSMC forum (https://discourse.osmc.tv/t/list-of-movi...word/21114) and was pointed to this forum afterwards.

I also made a video of all this, that can be seen here:

I have no idea, but I am guessing a debug log (wiki) will be needed.

Hello,

you can find the log files I just created here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2war4...mFBMXl1c28

These are the steps I did when debug logging was on:

0. Start with 2 profiles: kids & kids (16)
- none of the profles has got a password defined
- kids has got one series in the DB (Weihnachtsmann & Co.KG)
- kids (16) has several movies in the DB

1. starting with the kids profile active, browse the series library
- everyting is ok, the series are all displayed correctly

2. switch to the kids (16) profile and browse the movie library
- everyting is ok, the movies are all displayed correctly

3. activate the password protection for profile kids (16)
- during this process one has to define the master password

4. browse the movie library of kids (16)
- the movie library is empty -> THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN

5. switch to the kids profile and browse the series library
- the series library is empty -> THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN

6. deactivate the master password via settings > system > master lock > master password and locks

7. browse the series library of kids
- everyting is ok, the series are all displayed correctly again

8. switch to the kids (16) profile and browse the movie library
- everyting is ok, the movies are all displayed correctly again

9. deactivate debug log & restart
