Question
hey all new here and just trying to find out more about these Kodi boxes. With so many different ones and price range how do you decide? All help is appreciated. What are your reviews on the T95N Mini M8s 2/16G version, with an airmouse (think wiimote with a full keyboard) ?

You decide by doing reading and research, a lot of generic Amlogic S905 and S905X are extremely capable kodi devices but you need to be willing to put some work in, I.e: a little bit of reading, some basic skills like copying files to micro SD card etc

The basic android ROMs are disappointing on these boxes, but once you get LibreElec on these boxes it's a different ball game, they punch way above their price range...Playback almost all formats smoothly...

Have a read over on the LibreElec forums under the Amlogic section, Kszaqs LibreElec builds are what you need, there is also the budget amlogic devices thread on this forum.

As long you pick a box that is confirmed working with libreElec you should be good to go. The s905x devices like mini M8S II also have a very good custom android ROM available called Xannytech with working audio pass through and auto refresh rate switching, check freaktab forums.

In short, the generic boxes are fantastic bargains with a lot of power under the hood , but be prepared to do the initial research and reading first... There are bargains to be had..
