I'm losing my mind here. I've been fighting with this for ages on both version 16 and 17 of Kodi. I want my movies to have actual posters in them, not thumbnails or worse yet just blank boxes. I can't figure out why I'm getting this? Can someone help?

My first thought, check you have named the movie correctly ie "A Heavenly Christmas (2016)" make sure you have selected IMDB or TMDB in type of media.

Some people say have movies in individual folders. I don't

Mines a mix of both in folders and not... Would that really make a difference? There's no rhyme or reason to the movie posters coming in correctly. Most of them are in their own folders anyways.

I don't think it matters if they are in folders or not.

Missing movie scanner will find the ones without thumbnails

If you go to the movie file & then select manage, you can then choose the correct movie. Time consuming I know.

But, I think you need to double check the name.

Put all your movies in seperate folder called the IMDB name, then you should have no issues.
