Hi All,
I am running ServerWMC on a Windows 7 PC.
The client I am using is an Android box (Beelink) running 16.0 Jarvis. I was having some issues with pvr.wmc, so not thinking about it I chose to uninstall it, figuring I could manually re-install from zip file. But now I see that there is no option to download the pvr.wmc client anywhere, it appears it is only bundled with Kodi now. I even tried to search for it in Gotham with no luck.
Is there anything I can do here short of reinstalling Kodi completely? Thanks

The only way I know is to reinstall kodi (all the pvr clients are bundled with kodi, have been for a long time).

As a follow up--I have another beelink android box with Jarvis. What would be the easiest way to copy the pvr.wmc add-on from that box to the box from which I've deleted pvr.wmc? Both boxes have usb ports. I know I can use file manager, but I am not sure where the add-on files are located. Thanks.

In android, I believe it is stored in
Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons
you want to find the pvr.wmc directory in addons and move it and its contents to the other machine. And yeah, I'd use file manager.

Krusty,
Update re unbundled pvr.wmc: I downloaded ES File from Google Play and used the Display settings to reveal any hidden files. Following the path you gave--Android-->data-->org.xbmc.kodi-->files-->kodi-->addons I found the following folders:
metadata.album.universal; metadata.artists.universal; metadata.common.fanart.tv; metadata.common.imdb; metadata.common.musicbrainz.org; metadata.themoviedb.org; metadata.tvdb.com; packages and service.xbmc.versioncheck.
I looked into each folder and did not find any add-ons. I also checked the other files on the local drive under Android folder and did not see any add-ons. Since you are one of the authors of pvr.wmc (which is an excellent program but with some buffering issues on my box I was trying to correct by reinstallilng), could you please provide the files for download? I would think it is not outside the realm of possibility that some user somewhere (like me) would like to reinstall the pvr without going through the brain damage of configuring kodi again. Thanks in advance if you have the time.

Oh that's right, those folders are for the addons the user installs, not the ones that come bundled with kodi. Sorry for forgetting that.
I am the author, but that just means I provide the c code, the kodi team compiles it into all the different systems kodi runs on. The only binaries I compile myself are on windows when I do development. I do have a couple of fire tv's and I could try to hunt down where the pvr.wmc binaries are stored, but frankly so could you. It would be useless for me to keep copies of these binaries around since I'd need one for every kodi version on every platform. And this non-paying hobby takes up enough of my time already.
In windows at least , reinstalling kodi does not cause you to lose your configuration, but perhaps android is different - I've never had to find out. In that same folder I gave you, all of the stuff you setup is in Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/userdata. You could just back this folder up, install kodi, and then overwrite with your backed up userdata. I really that it will work, but no guarantees. The other think you could do, if both your android boxes are the same, is just transfer the entire system from your working box to you non-working one - that's how I setup my second fire tv.

Hi Krusty,
Please understand that I am a noobie when it comes to programming and Kodi and I did not fully understand what was involved nor the time involved when I asked the question. I respect the time and effort you and others spend on making open source work as well as it does. That said, I will try your suggestions, but I have one more idea--could I track down a copy of Gotham (or even Helix) and load pvr.wmc from those installations and just update? I am aware that Gotham may be bundled in some of the big repositories I can download under Jarvis like superrepo etc. Or does the kodi team yank prior versions of kodi?

The older versions of kodi have older versions of pvr.wmc, they likely won't work in kodi16 (I actually can't remember the compatibilities). To me this doesn't sound any easier anyway. I know you are worried that about losing your settings, but you are lucky because you have an identical android box to copy from, imo that the easiest way to go.

That's a great link to have going forward, but unfortunately, my "perfect configuration" of kodi resides on the box from which I deleted the pvr.wmc. If I back up kodi from that box, I would also back up kodi with the pvr.wmc omission on the other box, right? Or did I miss something in what this backup does?
I think you are right. I have to bite the bullet and just copy down all my kodi settings in some notebook and download Jarvis again. It's too bad you just cannot download add-ons individually for these kinds of mistakes. Thanks for your help.
