I have an android box running libreelec (Kodi v20). I can use the Kore app to control Kodi from my phone (Android 11). Turning the volume up on my phone, turns the volume up in Kore.
I have the libreelec box installed in my car. I have an android head unit (Android 6) that I have installed Kore on. Kore connects fine and I can control Kodi. However, changing the volume on the head unit does not change the volume in Kore.
Is this is an Android 6 issue?
My guess is the android head units volume key presses are not being detected by Kore.
