I've been trying to convert an old PC into an Android based home media center. My goal was to install Phoenix OS and then install the Kodi app on top of that. To my surprise it worked on the first try. I copied the iso to a usb drive. Booted from the usb drive. Downloaded the kodi apk and installed it. Opened kodi and changed a few settings to enable remote control features. So far everything worked as expected. Wifi and bluetooth drivers worked flawlessly.
Unfortunately I soon discovered that I couldn't use ANY remote control app to connect to the Kodi server. I tried Kore, Yatse and AIORemote. None of them can detect Kodi. I have literally every remote control setting enabled in the Kodi android app. I also tried manually entering the Kodi ip address/port. Still no luck.
Can anyone suggest a remote app that will work with this setup? Is there something within android that I need to change on PhoenixOS? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
