Hello,
I just discovered, that the port 8080 for JSON is closed during Profile selection.
After a logout I can not use JSON (remote) to select a new profile.
Is this a bug or feature ?

The problem is that the webserver (which runs port 8080) is disabled by default and you have to enable it manually in the settings. But settings are a per-profile thing so once you logout of a profile those settings aren't valid anymore and it falls back to default settings which means that the webserver is also disabled again.
