I am overwhelmed with the Kodi client. After installing it, I am stumped.

I feel that the wiki is incomplete on how to stream media and as a result, I am lost.

I am looking for an automated process to install repositories etc. My intention is to stream legal online media content like IPTV and basically cut the chord..

Is there a schematic, flow chart, and/or template on what the purpose of repositories and everything else? I think this will help me better understand the process and hopefully how to install what is needed to stream media content on Kobi.

Can anyone provide any thorough idiot proof written step by step instructions that an assist me?

Basil, I can see you're overwhelmed and getting your first post trashed isn't a good start. Have a look at https://kodi.tv/about/ There's only one official repository and that installed with the program, so with that taken care of, it's just a matter of picking the add-ons that are right for you in the add-on section. The large confusion comes from outside 3rd parties, misinformation on YouTube, and those who say you can have paid media sources for free. I keep reading about new IPTV providers offering 'packages' just like the one's you already have and trying to get away from, they're not reliable, the packages contain stuff you didn't want, and they're using your paid internet connection. I'm up here in Canada, did a quick Google search of "Canadian IPTV", and came up with 1.5 million hits, bet a large percentage will be gone in short order. Check this thread http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=293113 and if that doesn't convince you that there is no joy. Step carefully here, these 3rd party add-on in large measure are trying to peel away what's in your back pocket. Then there's the control group who install code to limit your choices and how about the 'let's brick it' and he'll buy another box.
