According to the wiki and a post in the threads, it seems the changelog.txt files have been deprecated in favor of the "news" section in the addon.xml

Is this info currently displayed in the kodi interface? I checked Estuary and a couple of other skins and I don't see any in the addon info page. I also looked at an addon that I created, which definitely has the news section filled in its addon.xml

yup, Estuary has a link to it in the addon info screen

looks like we don't store that info in the Addon.db, no idea why though.

originally the whole point of having the changelog separate was on-demand download to lessen the load on the server. thus it was never stuck in the database. when this was changed, it seems this was overlooked.
