Creating AdvancedSettings.xml on ATV4
#1
Hi,

I've had quite some issues with frequent rebuffering of movies. On researching, there appears to be an AdvancedSettings.xml file in which tags can be set that may help me.

I created the file on a network accessible devices as follows;
Code:
<advancedsettings>
    <network>
        <buffermode> 1 </buffermode>
        <readbufferfactor> 2.0 </readbufferfactor>
        <cachemembuffersize> 157286400 </cachemembuffersize>
    </network>
</advancedsettings>

When I bring up the Kodi File Manager, I can navigate to the network drive and see the xml file - So far so good

I'm not sure where to copy this xml file, or indeed how to do it - could anyone help?

The notes at
http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=254201

seem to indicate that this should be possible, but I've tried copying it into the Profile directory, and nothing appears to happen. Long click on the xml file, release, select 'copy' and then OK -but the file does not appear to actually copy across

How does the copy process work in the File Manager?
Which directory should the AdvancedSettings.xml file be copied to? (perhaps the one I chose was read-only?)

Any assistance appreciated

Mark
