I was having trouble figuring out how to keep recordings separate from my movie library while still getting the recordings to show up as a widget (using the windows 10 look).
I tried everything I could think of..
Then I figured out, by accident, that if you set the recordings folder as a source, you can then point to this source folder in the widget setup.
I have the watchdog addon (I believe this is a non banned one) to refresh the folders so the widgets will update when a new recording is made or deleted.
The only downside to this is that the % watched will not work because it is not a 'movie'.
But the good side is that the recordings remain separate and will not start populating the movies/recently watched/etc.. widgets.
