I have been installing Betas and each RC as they come out. RC3 is crashing, sometimes immediately, sometimes it runs okay for a number of hours.

Ubuntu 16.04, 16G ram, mythtv plugin. Root disk is SSD

it's crashing in EPG. Not sure if it's related to mythtv or generally.

I disabled Mythtv PVR plugin. Crashes continue. I have the Trailer Screen Saver Service plugin enabled. It is now crashing right after it attempts to play something that the .py script doesn't like. Something tells me it is more than the python script failing. All of this worked in RC2 and before.

Please try disabling all plugins and report back. Don't know for sure, but I guess the problems ate caused by one of the add-ons.

Btw, the stack trace you posted last seems to be something completely different, compared to the two stack traces you posted earlier.

I've seen the same EPG stacktrace a couple of times with mythtv and 17RC2. It occasionally happens after a reboot during the EPG rescan after mythtv has had a few days of guide updates. It's been hard for me to reproduce since it doesn't happen again on the next restart of Kodi.
