I'm not sure why but I can't get it to keep it in this view. It will change to it when in it as a view choice but i back out one menu and then go back it will display this view for a brief second then revert to list view.

I'm not sure.. do you perhaps have an addon that is doing it? The skin shouldn't be changing anything on you.
