I was about to report the same thing on another firmware (pipplware - test repositories), but I only noticed it today, it has been working fine in the past days and no change was introduced since then.

Will this fix be included on the xbmc repo or on your krypton_rbp_backports anytime soon ?

It's a firmware fix. rpi-update will get it on raspbian.
