Kodi crashes on 10.2 jailbreak

Have the same problem on 10.2 jailbreak with iPad Air.
First I tried Kodi 15 from the cydia repo. Force closes when i am starting Kodi.
What is working so far is installing Kodi 16 via Cydia Impactor. However you would have to reinstall Kodi every 7 days.

Also, installing the .deb (Kodi 16) from the wiki page with Filza does not help. Forse closes as well when starting Kodi.

This indicates that the app was not properly signed... Has nothing to do with ios 10.2 ...

I think its a Jailbreak related. I had Kodi 17 up and running great on 10.1.1 and 10.2 stock but when I jailbroke i wasn't able to open Kodi, it just crashes immediately. Kodi is also listed as incompatible on the iOS 10 compatibility list, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...r0/pubhtml#. I have installed several apps using a signing service (i know, bad) since the jailbreak with no issues. Tried both Cydia and impactor as well with the same crashing result.

So, definitely a ailbreak issue. I uninstalled, rebooted into unjailbroken state and reinstalled 17. Working fine in both states now.
Additional info: Kodi was installed pre jailbreak and crashed at launch .all subsequent installs were done while jail broken, resulting in a crash.
The "immortal" tweak in default bigboss repo will allow for permanent signing of apps while jail broken, aiding in sodeloading kodi,

The above error occurs on a jailbrokn iPad Air 2 using Yalu 10.2 beta 7.

I can't get it to work either. It crashes even with the Cydia immortal tweak. I'm using Yalu beta 7, iOS 10.2 jailbreak. I'm using an iPad Pro 9.7 inches. I previously had kodi installed on same device with an iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak and it was working.

Solution:
I have Kodi rc4 running great now on my iPhone 6 iOS 10 with Yalu v7. Heres what I did.

1. Uninstall Kodi
2. reboot phone
3. side load kodi (i use paid service) in nonJB environment
4. Run Yalu and JB
5. (optional) If using free developer acct. install Immortal via cydia (Bigboss repo) to extend app life.
Hope this works for others as well!

OK i am by no mean expert on ios JB however I am able to run the krypton nightly (i guess it was 17.1 rc1) but the version shouldn't matter.
I believe the signing in JB yalu is broken. The side load works but if you want normal Kodi installation to work then follow these steps.

What i did is simply signing the dylib and so files.

So run mobileterminal (install from Cydia if you don't have it)
logon as root so type
su
press enter and then enter root password. If you haven't changed it then default is alpine.

Now copy following line one by one press enter each time.

Code:
cd /Applications/Kodi.app
Code:
find $PWD/ -name *.so -exec ldid -S {} \;
Code:
find $PWD/ -name *.dylib -exec ldid -S {} \;

Last but not least, some streams were crashing Kodi and the log file was talking about H/W acceleration. After disabling the H/W acceleration it worked fine. This was tested on iPhone 6.

Thank you to Shani-08. Your 3 lines of code in previous post fixed the issue with running Kodi 17 on Yalu Jailbroken iOS 10. Kodi was the main reason I JB in the first place! Appreciate what you and others do to help out those of us who are just technical enough to understand what to do after someone else has figured out the fix.

Great thank for letting me know. I have updated my comments. Yeah I spent a day then lost faith and when I was browsing the crash log saw why it was crashing and tried my luck.
