Hi,
I'm using Kodi 16.1 with Live TV enabled connected to a locally running tvheadend all running on the same Raspberry Pi 3.
I found a strange behavior when trying to search the EPG.
From the home screen, when I go to: TV > Search (refer to the image below).
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/tJGyyo-zrG8/maxresdefault.jpg
In that case, I would highlight the last sub menu (Search).
When I press Enter, I'm directly presented to a Search result page. However, it is empty and only contains the name of my USB connected external hard drive (Seagate).
I would have assumed that I could enter some search criteria before seeing the results?
Can anyone chime in as to whether this is normal or not?
In the mean-time, I found work-around that yields what I want, but with more complex steps. In case this could help someone else...
- From the home screen, go to: TV > EPG
- Select any program in the grid
- Press 'C' (context menu: refer to: http://kodi.wiki/view/Basic_controls#Contextual_menu)
- Select 'Find similar', Press Enter
- The results will contain something related to what you just searched (irrelevant for now...)
- Move to the top of the results list and select the title of what you just searched
- Press Enter
- At this point, you can customize every aspect of the search parameters: Type, Channel, Title...
Thanks,
Mathieu
