[Google Chrome] No sound when streaming to browser
#1
When streaming video content from my home server to watch via a (Mac OS) laptop using the Chorus 2 web interface, the vast majority of videos play with no sound in Google Chrome.

This, however, is superior to the result when using Safari, which plays neither video nor sound.

Has anybody come across this problem and found any solutions ?

It's all down to what the browser supports as Kodi currently doesn't support transcoding the video into a 'browser friendly' codec so if the original file isn't compatible then you'll hit issues. Chrome definitely has the best results, but doesn't support AC3 sound - thus no sound. Stereo mp4 works the best.

Also found using firefox with the vlc plugin seems to play almost anything.
