Win Trying to install Kodi on windows start up problems
#1
I have tried to install the windows setup of Kodi onto my laptop a few times now and each time it finishes installing I am met with an error when trying to start up the program on my laptop, the error message reads 'kodi.exe - system error, the program can't start because api-locale-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.' I have tried to reinstall the program three times now with the same result, I have no idea what api-locale-l1-1-0.dll is so I'm stuck at a dead end, can anyone suggest a fix for this error please?

Hello, try to download this file and save the dll file inside the kodi installation folder.

Greetings.

I downloaded the link and tried to use it but you have to pay for the program to work, the price of the program is sadly not far off the price of an amazon fire stick which would defeat the purpose of installing kodi on my laptop in the first place, would you know any others that would do the same thing but for free?

Thank you

I suspect the problem is Visual C++ Redistributable (x86) did not install properly on your system. I think it is better to figure out why not, than to simply try to place dll files into your system.
