i have now delivered on my promise. fixed projectm is available for libreelec, as well as for ubuntu (nightlies only still, but it will get be available for 17.1). for other distros you have to build a patched libprojectm yourself, see the ubuntu ppa for the necessary patchery.

i don't know a reason why the plasma screensaver won't work, so i guess that's just a distribution issue.

I've upgrade to 17.1 RC1 and ProjectM is now working for me in good old shiny effects and low cpu-usage + cpu-frequency (lower than Goom) ^^
