Linux Kodi 17 crashes with Ubuntu 16.04LTS

Hello All,

Kodi 17 fails to load on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS following upgrade. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Kodi several times without success.
The crash log shows 3 x errors. All help much appreciated.

Move your .kodi directory out of the way: mv ~/.kodi ~/kodi-backup-16
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

@Sv7ter and @fritsch. Deleted the Addons27.db file. Kodi now working fine. Thanks again for your help. JohnM

Has nothing to do with this thread here. Change the youtube plugin to not use dash. You have an SSL issue.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Yep works for me too. Exactly same database error being reported on startup. This will hit every ubuntu user I reckon
