Kodi 17 latest and nightly build very slow channel switching(8-10 sec). Kodi 16.1 very fast switching(1sec).

Because if you don't post a debug log, no one can work out what the hell is going wrong. In short, no debug log, no help.

well the log is big and have not used pastebin before but a quick look in the log this is what happens:
the error part then keeps repeating but have a couple of these in between:
and a good 7 sec after trying to start:
I post the whole channel surf experience log if needed (on pastebin I guess)
...and on Jarvis this was just around 1 sec...maybe 2.

Also been experiencing this issue since the very early nightly versions of krypton on various operating systems and devices. I am thinking it must be a widespread problem as have heard other people mention it but also most likely not that many people are using iptv to switch. Will post some debug logs on various operating systems to try and solve this problem.

I use PVR simple client and the multicast stream come from Encoder via Gigabit LAN network.
How to minimize channel switching time?. Please advice me....

Best solution just downgrade to 16.1, works like a charm.
