Multiple hard drives

Guys,

I currently have a hard drive plugged straight into my router. It acts as my movie library but is on the verge of getting full. My router has the capability for another USB drive to be connected.

I may use this to add a further drive to expand storage - question is - when KODI scans and access my drives, will they all be viewed as 1 library? How exactly do I tell KODI to merge these 2 sources as 1 library.

Many thanks for any help.

Yes, they will all be viewed as one library by default.

If you want seperate sections then you can use video nodes (wiki) to filter by source path (amongst many other things).

Great, thanks. So I can just add a source and include it as video files, and it will be in my library? That's great.

I won't need separate sections for this, but that's now something I want to explore with documentaries. Thanks again.

Yes, Kodi only has a single library for each media type, unless you start using profiles (wiki) which can optionally have their own single individual ones.
