Every other time I start KODI the display is too large for both my computer screen and Television. If I shut it down and restart it, it fits. I cannot start it twice in a row...(I hope this makes sense)
How can I fix this?

Could be a HDMI handshake, or a television setting.
Well can you post a debug log in situation 1 : too large, upload the debug log.
Shutdown, restart kodi (logging is still on) and situation 2 : correct fit. also Post a debug log in situation 2

I actually had this exact problem on a Mac Mini. If you have a default resolution set in the Kodi system settings, try to make sure you have the same default resolution set in the OS X system preferences. The actual root cause of the issue had to do with the HDMI handshake, but forcing both the OS and kodi to stay the same size worked as a band-aid.
