MySql + custom NFO = :\
#1
This is driving me insane...

I have 3 machines, 2 are with a MySql database and 1 without Mysql. I can scrap the show no problem on the latter but not on the other 2. Is there a known issue with MySql and custom NFOs?

I have a TV show, Spartacus Gods of the Arena that I cannot scrap for the life of me...
The problem is that this show used to have its separate entry at tvdb but now it belongs as a Specials for Spartacus Blood and Sand.
I want it to be like before,as a separate entry. Here's the NFO:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<tvshow xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

  <plot>The House of Batiatus is on the rise, basking in the glow of its infamous champion Gannicus, whose skill with a sword is matched only by his thirst for wine and women. These are the times a young Batiatus has been waiting for. Poised to overthrow his father and take control, he’ll freely betray anyone to ensure his gladiators are in the highest demand. And he’ll have his loyal and calculating wife Lucretia by his side for every underhanded scheme, drawing on the brazen talents of her seductive friend Gaia when it counts. Together, they will stop at nothing to deceive the masses, seize power, and bleed Capua dry in this audacious prequel to “Spartacus: Blood and Sand.â€.</plot>

I've tried modifying the NFO every which way possible, i.e no ID, ID, fake ID, etc and still no dice.

I also have a couple of theater plays that do not have entries at tmdb and same thing, I've created some NFOs and they are fine on the Mysql-less PC but on the 2 with Mysql, they were added but they have no infos, year, actors, etc. It just says info unavailable or something like that.
Here's one of the NFO for it:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>

How did you create these NFOs? I use the external programm Mediaelch to create NFO etc.
It's also possible, that your DB has problems by using the french symbols (accent aigue, grave etc.).
I prepared all my movies with the german nfo and use Local NFO only as the scraper...
On the other hand, all my movies are named according IMDB and the Universal Movie Scraper does find any movie 100%.
My Equipment:
HTPC (i7-8700K 3.7 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) Windows 10 with Kodi 18.6 & Central SQL DB (Maria DB)
AVR Emotiva RMC-1 & AMP Emotiva XPA9-Gen3, TV LG OLED 65 E6, BD oppo UDP-203, Speaker Revel Performa3 F208 / F206 / C208 / Nubert WS-14 for Atmos/DTS.x)
NAS Synology DS1817+ / DX-517/DX513 (4x8 TB RAID5 + 2 x 5x6TB in RAID5)

A-Swiss,
I use MediaElch too.
I don't think the French symbols have anything to do with that as I have hundreds of French movies already scraped.
I did change the scraper to Local NFO and it didn't make a difference. The 2 French movies are added but do not contain any infos when pressing i.
So later on I created entries for them at tmdb and sure enough, they scraped prefectly.
So the problem really seems to be MySql + Custom NFO = not working.
Do you use MySql?
I can't be the only person using MySql and creating custom NFOs.

I wish someone would try either my NFO for Spartacus or for the French play and tell me if they can be scraped on their end...

I tried to add the French play and it didn't import with your xml code so I used Ember Media Manager to add the same info and let it generate an xml file.
That one imported fine. I am using an SQLserver and it works fine.
I did take the liberty of changing "vÃritÃ" when entering it in Ember into "vérité"since that is probably the correct title. I also changed François to François.
The code that Ember generated is:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<movie xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

Hope this helps.
(you can ignore the /fileinfo part. That metadata was scraped by Ember from a testfile I have for these kind of purposes.)
I think all righthtinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.

PH-SYM,
You nailed it.
The issue was the NFO. I created an NFO for Spartacus using Ember and the show was scraped as expected.
Thanks both for helping out!
