The file is named kodi.log and the previous one is kodi.old.log
Don't forget that windows is retarded and doesn't show file extensions by default.

Are you 100% sure the files named kodi and kodi.old don't have a log extension that Windows is hiding?

Ok delete the file Addons27.db in the userdata/Databases/ folder. Then try again.

Reboot and the file will be freed up. Then delete. Then start Kodi.

I CAN start a new thread but the issue is the same as here, try to start KODI and get the dreaded unable to create application error. I have searched and see no working cure.
I am loading KODI on a Dell desktop running W7 64bit. After install I select run. and get the error message. I have used the KODI uninstaller and even gone into the registry and removed all reference to KODI for a clean slate. Before doing that, I looked for the profile xml file and there is no KODI folder in the user/AppData/Roaming location. Not even a KODI.old folder. So that published fix does not work for me. And yes, I have set the folders to show all, nothing hidden.
This is very strange and frustrating because I have loaded KODI on several media boxes as well as laptops/desktops. This is the ONLY unit that has given this error.
Any solutions I've missed?
Thanks!!!!!
Dave
