Solved STEP-BY-STEP SOLUTION - Kodi 17.1 Krypton fails to launch in Mac OSX
#76
Crashing immediately after Kodi boot.

Doesn't look like a db issue, more of a connection issue.
I removed guisettings.xml with no luck, removed addondata folder with no luck, all db were removed with no luck.

This is what thread its crashing at:

@b7000 would you be so kind to incoporate the last sentence of my post here:

Into your description? Db files are not enough because i can't reproduce. I need a snapshot of the whole userdata folder just before the workaround is even done.

Hey @Memphiz, OP amended for the new instructions. I read one post blaming 3rd party crapware for this error.. not sure of the validity.

Its valid. There is an addon directly writing into addon27.db ans screwing up in doing so leaving behind a 0kb size file.

I was at devcon last couple pf days so couldn't tell you. Basicslly there is no userdata needed anymore because we csn't fiy the issue of that addon. But maybe we find a workaround so that kodi doesn't crash instead. Thx for your help - much appreciated.
