Install Kodi on EzCast

Hi!

I have a barely used EzCast TS-02 (https://goo.gl/u01Ww7 - might take some time to load translation).

I'm wondering if it would be possible to somehow remove the preinstall software and install Kodi directly on it? It would be fun, so It can come to some better use.

No problem.

I had a quick look as it seems to be linux based LibreElec would be the obvious choice but if it is an embedded system it may not be possible to overwrite or modify the system.

Good tip, I've read about LibreELEC (http://kodi.wiki/view/LibreELEC & http://wiki.libreelec.tv/index.php?title=Installation) to learn a little bit more.

First, the device I have got HDMI and a USB micro port for charging/manual updates. So if I were to install any software I need to somehow acess it on preferably my PC.
Second, I do not know how much storage the device has and there are so many different LibreELEC version ranging from 512mb to 4gb. It says you need a blank USB stick or SD card and I have no SD card slot on the device. So I guess I need to use the USB port.

How should I proceed with this do you guys think? Huh

A little update. I have tried connecting it with micro USB to a PC and it says "Unknown device" and would most likely require a driver. I have been able to acess a web interferance for settings at IP 192.168.0.80, there I can only change a few settings for audio, display resolution, WiFi, search for updates and what not. If it helps I can copy and upload the HTML & javascript source code.

I've also tried reaching it through FTP (filezilla) but unfortunatley no success with that.
