Audio cut off and Kodi freeze.
#1
Hi there!

When I start the HDHomerun plugin, the audio stream keeps cutting off. This used to happen on both of my devices, a PC with Arch Linux and an Amazon FireTV, but after upgrading from Kodi 16.1 to 17.1, the problem is not longer present on the FireTV.

To make matters worse, my workaround on 16.1 was to pause the stream for a couple of seconds (after that, audio would not show any issues). But that action now, completely freezes Kodi on my HTPC.

Interestingly, if I reboot the HTPC right away and restart the plugin, the reacquired stream works just fine. That seems to works as long as the HDHomerun stream does not timeout.

Here is the debug log:

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Wrong thread. You're using SiliconDust's HDHomeRun View video plugin with their DVR software, not Kodi's pvr.hdhomerun which uses the PVR subsystem.

You can check in the Video Addons forum, or probably better yet, check out SiliconDust's Software Setup & Troubleshooting forum.
