Downloaded newest kodi, always has worked before. Installed and evrytime I goto open it it crashes, doesn't even open at all. Keep getting last time koi opened, it unexpectedly quit. Do you want to try and reopen windows again. No matter what I do it happens everytime. Never had this problem with any other versions of kodi. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

also running mac os10.10.5.

Maybe http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=311058 solves your issue.
If not, post a debug log (wiki).

That's no Debug log (wiki).

Have you tried to follow the instructions at http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=311058?

You renamed Kodi.app to "Kodi 5.app"? What if you rename it back to Kodi.app - which is the name it comes. Renaming the app might freak apples internal self signing out and result in other weired things.
