So this is my first post, apologies if I posted in the wrong spot etc)

My setup so far..

Windows pc running next pvr

Nvidia Shield running Kodi Krypton (no skin yet)

Everything seems to be working and all is well with the world except - pulling up the tv guide is WONKY!! I mean sometimes it pulls up with the back button but then other times I gotta press down then go all the way over to a guide icon which will sometimes give me a full guide other times give me a mini guide.

When I long press the select button on the shield remote the Channels pull up and that is nice but I would rather that be the Guide.

My wife is gonna be using it and if it is not simple, well she just will not use it.

Have a look at Keymap editor. It is a program addon that will allow you to set most any key to launch your TV Guide (as well as most any other Kodi function)
I have set a specific button on my remote to launch my EPG regardless if where I am in Kodi. It's a great setup
