Can't get rid of USB thumbdrive as media source
#1
Windows 10.
Kodi 17.1
I have a USB thumbdrive which I use for Windows ReadyBoost. There is just no way I can stop it being displayed as a media source. I can set content type to None, I can say do not scan. Still, if I want to watch a move, BOOST is visible as a possible source folder.

The USB is no longer seen as a portable drive but part of the formatted drive environment, so it's going to show up as a potential source. This is quite a common problem with some Flash Drives .. https://www.sevenforums.com/hardware-dev...drive.html If you arrange your viewing in library mode, this shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not going to get into the 'Why ReadyBoost Probably Isn’t Useful For You' In summary, ReadyBoost probably won’t improve your computer’s performance much. If you have a very small amount of RAM (512 MB or so) and a very fast USB drive, you may see some increase in performance – but it isn’t even guaranteed in this situation.
