Hi I am trying to set up Kodi so I can play music from my desktop via my home network to a 2113 Denon AVR. I have the playlist on the Kodi and the media server on the denon but I can't sort out the settings to get the kodi to show up on my network page so the AVR can see it. I can get Windows Media Player to work so all the bits are there. The OS is Windows Home Premium. I have been around computers for a while but this is my first attempt to use the network, which is wired, for playing music files

I don't really know anything about DLNA, but I turned it on in Kodi in the services settings, restarted Kodi and it did show up on my Denon 3311ci. My music library did display and seemed to work, though when I tried to play a music .m3u playlist the Denon hung (seemed to be trying to play the song) and I had to power-cycle it to get back into the "net/usb" top menu on it.

Hi Scott, I have been trying various things and have finally got it working using HTTP. Thanks for your help
