Win Manually adding videos scaning misses?

Is it possible to add things that the source scan misses?
I find it mostly misses Japanese things when updating my library.

If the "Update Library" or "Refresh" features do not scrape any content, it is possible to still add titles to the Library view using nfo files.

Here is an example of one program that creates these nfo files. http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=142723

Once created, Kodi will scrape them exactly the same way as if it is scraping from the internet.

I am assuming all your titles are correctly named. If you like, copy and paste the titles of a couple of your TV Shows and Episode names here if you want to confirm if all is ok with them.

---Edit---
Also advise which scraper you are using

I am currently using the TVDB scraper.

The items in question that are not being added are:

Folder Name Mr Robot Season 1 File Name, Mr Robot S01E01 etc - Same for season 2
Folder Name Kyuranger, File Name, Space Sentai Kyuranger Episode 1 etc
Folder Name Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin, File Name Mobile Suit Gundam Origin 1 etc

Hi screwball,

The file naming structure is not quite correct.

Lets assume you are saving media on f: drive, and you have a directory named f:\TV Shows\ and your media format is *.mkv and there are no custom Regex.

\TV Shows\ will be your "Source" in Kodi.

Mr Robot was not recognised because you had "Season 1" in the title. Also I noticed that "Mr Robot" would not be found in the search at TVDB. But "Mr. Robot" did.
The following will work... http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=289590&lid=7
f:\TV Shows\Mr. Robot\Mr. Robot S01E01.mkv
f:\TV Shows\Mr. Robot\Mr. Robot S01E02.mkv
f:\TV Shows\Mr. Robot\Mr. Robot S01E03.mkv
etc

For Kyuraranger, it won't scrape because it is not named like that on TVDB. I came up with this listing, but I am not sure if it is the same... http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=73694&lid=7
Also the episode naming is incorrect. Episode 1 won't be picked up. It needs to be S01E01
f:\TV Shows\Super Sentai\Super Sentai S01E01.mkv
f:\TV Shows\Super Sentai\Super Sentai S01E02.mkv
f:\TV Shows\Super Sentai\Super Sentai S01E03.mkv
etc

For Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin, the naming of the show is correct, but the episode naming is incorrect. It won't pickup Origin 1 ... http://thetvdb.com/?tab=season&seriesid=...9043&lid=7
f:\TV Shows\Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin\Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin S01E01.mkv
f:\TV Shows\Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin\Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin S01E02.mkv
f:\TV Shows\Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin\Mobile Suit Gundam The Origin S01E03.mkv
etc

Have a look over the required naming conventions... http://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/TV_shows

The guide will show other naming techniques, but I believe this is the simplest and most effective. It is a good idea to check your show at TVDB to ensure the naming is correct. If they don't match, then they won't scrape.

Let us know if it works for you.

I should also add...

If you have a lot of Anime, there is a dedicated Anime scraper here... http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=142835

You could set up a second source for all your anime content, and use the above scraper.

So you would have...
f:\TV Shows\ as your source for mainstream type shows using the TVDB
f:\Anime\ as your source for specialised content using the AniDB scraper

Ahh ok, TVDB has some weird quirks then, I didnt expect Kyuranger to just be considered a season of Super Sentai.
You have been a big help thanks!

Edit: is there any tool that will rename episodes and folders for large jobs?

Edit 2: Nvm played with Tinymediamanager and got it figured, Thanks a bunch!

Yes there are a few.

I know the following is a favourite with one of the Team-Members here...

http://www.therenamer.com/

I have never used it, but it seems to be recommended a lot.

Edit 2...

Great. It is a simple to use tool once it is setup. You can choose all the artwork and descriptions to your liking.
