I bought a brand new Intel NUC7i5 because I thought it was supposed to support CEC HDMI. However, it seems like it only works for powering the device on/off...not navigating menus, pressing OK, and adjusting volume on a soundbar, like my NVIDIA Shield can. If anyone knows different, please let me know what I need to do to get going.

Aside from that, I also bought the Pulse Eight USB adapter. I have a soundbar I also want to be able to control (volume). So, what I did was connect from the NUC to the Pulse Eight to the sound bar. This does not seem to work. Should I be doing it differently?

I know someone IRL with similar problems. I'm not sure he ever got it working.

Looks like intel really hadn't figured out this latest round of "hdmi2" hardware before releasing it.
